Erasure

On Friday after finishing work I dashed to The Dome to catch Erasure on their Tomorrows World tour. The seats had all been removed and the sold out show was jam packed. With a very simple set of Gotham like gargoyles Andy, Vince and 2 backing singers took to the stage. For the opening number Andy was dressed in a red sequinned jacket with a Centurion helmet which was quickly removed as the show went hurtling into into their back catalogue of fantastic pop friendly hits.

The whole show was a fantastic feel good experience. Fantastic songs, a great voice, Andy a total showman loving what he was doing, a fit body and a great connection with the audience who were loving every single moment of the show. After the previous weeks disaster someone needs to send Britney a memo that this is how you conduct a world tour.

I've seen Erasure many times and they never fail to deliver, Andy did his demented Black Swan dancing and as the opening bars to each hit started the crowd went wild. The tour is promoting their new album Tomorrows World and we were treated to the best songs from that album but it was the classics that got everyone up dancing. Looking around the difference in the audience having a dam good time and looking on in disbelief at Britney was astounding.

Sadly this was the end of the current tour and I could have quite happily gone along to see it again. I hope it's not too long before Erasure go back on the road.

I have never known anyone to go to so many concerts as you. I'm truly in awe!

I used to love Erasure when I was younger especially Oh L'Amour. I'm very jealous, it sounds like they were great.

I would have liked it - but I insist on sitting down!
